Bellarmine’s Elliot Mattingly (Bardstown, KY. / Bardstown) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Mattingly, a senior, hit an NCAA Provisional mark in the Hammer with a throw of 56.18m at the Bellarmine Invitational this past weekend, which was a personal best and school record.   He finished second to former NCAA DI All-American Andy Fryman. Elliot also won the Discus (46.35m) and finished in third-place in the Shot Put (13.90m). He is currently ranked 2nd in the Hammer and Discus in the GLVC. 

 

The Knights will be back in action on April 23rd where they host the Bellarmine University Classic.
