INDIANAPOLIS –Northern Kentucky University sophomore pitcher Tim Clark (Vermillion, Ohio/Vermillion) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Clark helped the Norse close out a four-game series at Indianapolis on Sunday by tossing a complete-game in NKU’s 4-1 win in the finale. With the victory, NKU claimed three of the four contests.
He scattered six hits and allowed just one run in the nine-inning victory. Clark struck out a career-high seven batters and did not allow a runner past first base until the seventh inning. He surrendered the lone UIndy run with two outs in the ninth inning.
This season, Clark is 2-1 with a 1.63 earned run average and 15 strikeouts.
NKU (22-17) moved into fifth place in the GLVC East Division standings with a 12-12 league mark following the victories. The Norse will host Bellarmine, UC-Clermont and UW-Parkside this week.
