Samantha Linck was named the GLVC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the high jump at the Hillsdale “Gina” Relays on Friday night. She netted a NCAA Division provisional qualifying mark in the event by clearing 1.72 meters.

Linck is currently leading the GLVC in the event and ranked 11th nationally.

Lewis will next compete this weekend at the GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Missouri S&T in Rolla, Mo. on May 7-8.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Brenda Varela and Saint Joseph’s College’s Melissa Buche.
