University of Southern Indiana senior middle blocker Danielle LaGrange (Santa Claus, Ind./Heritage Hills/Indiana) is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. LaGrange led the Eagles to a pair of road wins in league play including a win at No. 14 Lewis on Friday.

For the week, LaGrange averaged 3.20 kills and 0.80 blocks per game. She finished with a .291 hitting percentage with six digs, four service aces and a pair of assists.

In USI’s 3-2 win at Lewis, LaGrange posted 15 kills and three blocks, hitting .263 in the five sets. She tallied six kills, three blocks and a pair of service aces in the final three sets as the Eagles rallied from a 2-0 deficit. The win snapped the Flyers’ 45-match regular-season home winning streak.

The Eagles again rallied on Saturday, defeating host UW-Parkside in five sets after dropping the first two. She collected 17 kills, three digs, three blocks and a .317 hitting percentage in the victory, including 10 kills in the final three sets.

LaGrange leads USI with 3.59 kills and 0.77 blocks per set this season. She is also leading the Eagles with a .276 hitting percentage.

USI (4-2) moved to 2-0 in league play with the victories. The Eagles will next travel to Kentucky Wesleyan on Tuesday.
