INDIANAPOLIS-Wisconsin-Parkside senior Hope Christie (Somers, WI/Bradford) has been named the GLVC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. She was a key component in the Rangers’ 1st place finish at the UW-Parkside Midwest Open on Saturday.

Christie set the pace for the Rangers first place overall finish in the 5k race with a time of 17:54.2, earning her a first place individual finish as well. Christie finished 24 seconds ahead of the second place runner. Her time was a personal record and earned her the top 5k time in the GLVC. 
Christie and the 25th ranked UW-Parkside Rangers will be back in action at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 24.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Angela Musk, Northern Kentucky’s Kayla Justice, and Quincy’s Kristen Dippold.
