INDIANAPOLIS-Bellarmine junior Angela Musk (New Hope, KY/Bethlehem) has been named the GLVC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Musk and the Knights raced in the National Catholic Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Friday, where they finished second out of non-Division I competition, and eighth overall.

Musk set the pace for the Knights covering the 5k course with a time of 18:05. This time earned her a first place individual finish out of non-Division I runners, and 14th place overall. The time also distinguishes her as the third fastest runner in Bellarmine women’s cross country history. Musk’s time was a personal record, and lands in the top 5k times in the GLVC.
Musk and the 21st ranked Bellarmine squad will be back in action at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky on October 1.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Southern Indiana’s Jackie Henderson and William Jewell’s Jess Connery.
