INDIANAPOLIS-UW-Parkside senior Hope Christie (Somers, WI/Bradford) has been named the GLVC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this year. Christie and the Rangers raced in the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday, where they finished third out of 22 teams.

Christie set the pace for the Rangers covering the 6k course with a time of 22:05.2. This time earned her a sixth place overall finish out of 270 runners, and a fifth place finish out of all Division II competition. Christie’s time at the event lands her in the top five 6k times in the GLVC. She also currently holds the top 5k time in the GLVC.
Christie and the UW-Parkside squad will be in action again when they host the Lucian Rosa Invitational on October 8.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Lewis’s Kayla Patterson and Northern Kentucky’s Kaitlyn Hooper.
