Northern Kentucky University senior outside hitter Noelle Peterson (Milwaukee, Wis./Brookfield East) is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Peterson guided the 18th-ranked Norse to an undefeated week which included a pair of league victories.
After posting six kills in Northern Kentucky’s 3-0 win in a non-conference match at Cedarville on Wednesday, Peterson averaged 4.00 kills per set, 1.17 digs per set and posted a .408 hitting percentage in league wins over Drury and Missouri S&T.
In the sweep of Drury on Saturday, Peterson had a team-high 14 kills and a .444 hitting percentage.
On Sunday, Peterson helped Northern Kentucky knock off S&T in three sets. Against the Miners, who were previously unbeaten in league play, Peterson had 10 kills, five digs and a .364 hitting percentage.
Peterson is averaging 2.77 kills and 0.53 digs per set this season. She has posted a .317 hitting percentage which ranks her sixth among conference leaders.
NKU (13-2) is currently tied for second in the GLVC East Division with a 7-2 league record. The Norse will head to Rockhurst and William Jewell this weekend.
