INDIANAPOLIS-University of Indianapolis junior Stephanie Cave(New Albany, IN/New Albany) has been named the GLVC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Cave led the Greyhound squad to a respective 12th place finish out of 32 teams at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday.
Cave set the pace for the Greyhounds in the women’s blue race at the event, covering the 5k course with a time of 18:37.84. This time earned her a 17th place overall finish out of 257 runners, and topped several Division I opponents. Cave’s time at the event also lands her in the top ten 5k times in the GLVC.
Cave and the Indianapolis squad will be in action again at the Ball State Invite on October 14.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included William Jewell’s Jessie Johnson and Northern Kentucky’s Kaitlyn Hooper.
