INDIANAPOLIS – Southern Indiana junior Michael Jordan has been named the GLVC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this year. Jordan’s finish at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday led the team to a respective 10th place finish out of 29 teams at the event.
Jordan covered the 8k course with a time of 24:34.77 and finished 24th out of 240 runners respectively. He topped the times of several Division I opponents en route to the finish line. Jordan’s pace led the 6th ranked Eagles to a 10th place team finish, and established the team as the top Division II squad at the event.
Jordan and the rest of the Southern Indiana squad will return to action on October 15 at the Fast Cats Classic in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Saint Joseph’s Logan Barrett, Indianapolis’s Mark Martinez, and Northern Kentucky’s JJ Webber.
