Northern Kentucky University junior setter Jenna Schreiver (Edgewood, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Schreiver earned All-Tournament honors at the Mizuno GLVC/GLIAC Crossover while leading NKU to three wins.

She hit .391 and averaged 10.50 assists, 1.83 kills and 1.33 digs per set while also adding five service aces and six blocks.

Schreiver opened the weekend in a four-set victory over Ashland on Friday by posting 40 assists, six digs, four service aces and a kill. She helped the Norse attack at a .318 clip during the match.

In her second match on Friday, Schreiver recorded a career-high 17 kills to help No. 13 NKU rally past No. 11 Ferris State and end the Bulldogs’ 11-match winning streak in five sets. She finished with a .471 hitting percentage and posted 49 assists, eight digs and a service ace.

Schreiver concluded the weekend by leading the NKU offense to a .405 hitting percentage in a sweep of No. 25 Northern Michigan. Schreiver finished with 37 assists, two digs and hit .500 with four kills.

On the year, Schreiver is leading the league with 11.85 assists per set and has led the Norse to the top-ranked hitting percentage in the GLVC at .305.

NKU (18-2, 9-2) has won eight straight matches and helped the GLVC claim the title at the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover Volleyball Tournament for the second straight year. The Norse will return to action at home against Urbana in a non-conference match on Wedneseday.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Jaclyn Ohlmann, Indianapolis’ Meghan Binkerd, Lewis’ Danielle Mount, Missouri S&T’s Erin Bekebrede and Rockhurst’s Maggie McGovern.
