INDIANAPOLIS-UW-Parkside sophomore Evan Lewandowski (Medford, WI/Medford Area Senior) was voted as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this year. Lewandowski led the way for the Rangers at the Brooks Oshkosh Invitational hosted by UW-Oshkosh on Saturday.

Lewandowski covered the 8k course with a time of 25:49 and was the 29th runner to cross the line in a large field of 434 participants. He was the lead runner for the Rangers who earned an 18th place team finish in a tough pool of 45 teams. This finish marks the last race of regular season competition for Lewandowski and the Rangers.
Lewandowski and the rest of the UW-Parkside squad will now prepare for the GLVC Cross Country Championships hosted by Southern Indiana on October 22.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Maryville’s Casey Humphrey, Indianapolis’ Jake Fisher, Quincy’s Kekoura Sakouvougi, Northern Kentucky’s Patrick McCarty, and Southern Indiana’s Joe Angermeier.
