University of Southern Indiana senior middle blocker Danielle LaGrange (Heritage Hills, Ind./Indiana) is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. LaGrange led the Eagles to three wins last week, including a four-set decision over No. 21 Indianapolis on Saturday.

On the week, LaGrange averaged 5.60 points, 4.90 kills, 1.00 blocks and 1.60 digs per set. She attacked at a .415 clip and added a pair of service aces and six assists.

In USI’s sweep of McKendree on Tuesday, LaGrange hit .600 and posted 18 kills, six digs and three assists.

She returned on Friday night to deliver 15 kills, four digs, two blocks and two service aces in the Eagles’ 3-0 win over Saint Joseph’s. LaGrange hit .370 in the win.

In USI’s 3-1 win over UIndy, the first for the program against the Greyhounds since 2005, LaGrange notched 16 kills, eight blocks and six digs. She hit .297 for the match and added two assists.

This season, LaGrange is averaging a team-best 4.59 points on a team-high 3.84 kills and 0.87 blocks per set. She leads the Eagles and ranks fifth in the GLVC with a .332 hitting percentage. LaGrange is ranked second in the league in points per set, 10th in blocks and fourth in kills per set.

USI (16-7) grabbed a share of first place in the GLVC East Division by improving to 11-2 in league play. The Eagles will host Kentucky Wesleyan on Tuesday.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Indianapolis’ Kristina Kerrigan, Lewis’ Danielle Mount, Missouri-St. Louis’ Weslie Gaff, Quincy’s Briann Joslin and Rockhurst’s Maggie McGovern.
