USI rolled past Illinois Springfield on Friday night, 11-0, behind four goals and two assists from Dugger. He scored the game-winner in the fourth minute on an assist from James Kennedy and then added assists on the Eagles’ next two goals in the fifth and 17th minute, respectively.

Dugger tallied his second goal in the 26th minute and added two more goals in the second half to finish one goal shy of the school-record five scored by Michael Corday against Saint Joseph’s in 1986. He finished with 10 points in the match and helped USI to its highest single-game output since they scored 12 against Kentucky Wesleyan in 2002.

On Sunday, USI battled Quincy to 1-1 tie, and Dugger again provided the offense. He scored the first goal of the match in the eighth minute on assists from Kennedy and Tyler White.

For the week, Dugger had 12 points with five goals and two assists. He tallied 15 shots, including 10 on goal and posted one game-winning goal. He now has a team-high 18 points on the season and ranks seventh in the league. Dugger is sixth in the league with eight goals and has added two assists.

USI (4-10-2) is 2-9-2 in the GLVC and has gone 3-1-1 in its last five matches. The Eagles will next host Kentucky Wesleyan on Tuesday.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Indianapolis’ Casey Castle, Northern Kentucky’s Ben Dorn, Quincy’s Grant Ellison and Rockhurst’s Nick McDonald.
