Lewis University senior right-side hitter Hannah Koeneman (New Haven, Ind./Woodlan) is the Baden/Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Koeneman guided the Flyers to a share of the GLVC East Division title with wins over Saint Joseph’s and No. 21 Indianapolis.

For the week, Koeneman averaged 4.29 points, 3.57 kills, 1.14 blocks and 0.43 digs per set. She hit .600 in the two matches, finishing with just one attack error in 40 attempts.

In Lewis’ sweep over visiting Saint Joseph’s on Friday, Koeneman tallied 12 kills on a .647 attack percentage. She finished with five blocks and an assist.

On Saturday, the 19th-ranked Flyers defeated Indianapolis in four sets with Koeneman posting 13 kills and a .565 hitting percentage. She also added three blocks and two digs in the win.

This season, Koeneman is averaging 2.67 kills per set and a .306 hitting percentage which ranks her ninth in the GLVC. She is also chipping in 0.83 blocks and 0.63 digs per set.

Lewis (21-5) finished the GLVC season with a 15-3 league record and secured the No. 2 seed for the upcoming GLVC Volleyball Tournament.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Ali Rook, Indianapolis’ Kristina Hefferan, Maryville’s Ashlee Brockenbrough, Missouri S&T’s Jennifer Costello, Quincy’s Taylor Jacobs, Southern Indiana’s Danielle LaGrange and Wisconsin-Parkside’s Stacie Bower.
