INDIANAPOLIS – Quincy University senior forward Ali Schwagmeyer (Camp Point, Ill./Camp Point) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Schwagmeyer led the Lady Hawks to a pair of victories at the Quincy/Subway Tip-Off Tournament over the weekend.

For the week, she averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 3.0 assists per game. She shot 64.3 percent from the field and was 2-for-5 from the three-point line in being named to the All-Tournament Team.

In Friday’s 98-74 win over Arkansas-Ft. Smith, Schwagmeyer posted 22 points on 10-of-14 (.714) shooting and added four steals, three assists and two rebounds.

She returned in Saturday’s 92-76 win over Culver-Stockton to tally 19 points on 8-of-14 (.571) shooting. Schwagmeyer also had seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in the win.

Quincy (3-0) will travel to Truman State on Tuesday.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Darion Hutchinson, Drury’s Bethanie Funderburk, Indianapolis’ Sydney Weinert, Lewis’ Jess Reinhart, Missouri-St. Louis’ Devonna Smith and Southern Indina’s Kristin Rake.
