INDIANAPOLIS – Quincy University senior forward Justin Brock (Liberty, Ill./Liberty) has been tabbed the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Brock paced the Hawks to an undefeated week with wins over Regional opponents Truman State and Central Missouri.
On the week, the senior from Quincy averaged 21.5 points per game and tallied a total of 17 rebounds, six assists, and eight blocks.
Brock led the way for Quincy’s 81-74 road win over Truman State on Tuesday. He recorded a career high 29 points and was 8-for-11 (.727) from the field. He also knocked down 3-of-4 (.750) three-point attempts and went 10-for-11 (.909) from the line. Brock also tallied eight rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal on the night.
Brock returned to Saturday night’s 76-71 win over Central Missouri to record 14 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and a career-high seven blocks. He was also a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
The Hawks are 4-0 on the year and will open their conference schedule on December 1 against William Jewell.
Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Lewis’ Matt Toth, Kentucky Wesleyan’s Anthony Young, Northern Kentucky’s DeAndre Nealy, Southern Indiana’s Brandon Hogg, Indianapolis’ Adrian Moss, Drury’s Alex Hall, Missouri St. Louis’ Troy Long, Rockhurst’s Brandon McCann, and Saint Joseph’s Phillip Collins.
