After a three game sweep of Lake Erie over the weekend, Southern Indiana senior second baseman Ryan Kaczmarski (Mishawaka, IN) and senior pitcher Scott Cole (Patrick, VA) have been respectively named GLVC Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week.

Kaczmarski went a perfect 4-for-4 from the plate with seven walks, four runs scored, and four RBIs including two doubles. He was also perfect in 18 chances at second base. Kaczmarski’s bat was solid in crucial moments as he was able to drive in the eventual game-winning run in the opening game of the series, while also delivering a three-run double in the fourth inning of game three.
Cole, a senior for the Eagles propelled Southern Indiana to a 3-0 victory over Lake Erie after pitching a no-hitter Saturday afternoon. Cole utilized 121 pitches in seven innings while striking out ten batters to become the first player in university history to produce a no-hitter since 2008.
The Eagles move to 4-2 on the year and will next host Tiffin in a three game series set to begin March 2.
