DeMotte went 3-0 on the week with one shutout, striking out 17, walking three and allowing just one earned run in 18 and one-third innings of work for an 0.38 ERA. The Indianapolis, Ind., native leads the GLVC in wins, opponents batting average and ERA. She is top-five in the league in strikeouts and innings pitched. In addition to her work in the circle, DeMotte also helped her own cause at the plate, driving in the eventual game-winner in the top of the eighth inning in No. 4 UIndy's 2-1 win at Northern Kentucky Sunday.
