Guiding the Norse to a 5-1 record last week, Lang went 6-for-15 (.400) at the plate with two home runs, five RBIs and three runs scored. She opened the week with a 1-for-4 performance in a 6-5 victory over Ohio Dominican and then helped NKU to a 4-2 win in the second half of the doubleheader. Opening conference play on Saturday, Lang starred in an 11-2 win at UW-Parkside, going 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. The three-run homer capped a six-run fifth inning for the Norse. She then homered with two outs in the seventh inning in the opener against Lewis on Sunday, which proved to be the lone run of the contest in a 1-0 victory. She then came back in the nightcap to hit the single that would spark NKU’s five-run rally in the seventh inning and give NKU a 5-3 win and a doubleheader sweep of the Flyers. In fact, Lang’s timely hits this past week led the Norse to four of their five wins in the team’s final at-bat, including three come-from-behind victories and two walk-off wins.
