DeMotte, a three-time GLVC Pitcher of the Week selection this season, earns her first Player of the Week award for her efforts both in and out of the circle last week. In five contests, which included doubleheaders at UW-Parkside and Lewis, DeMotte struck out 24 batters in 24.0 innings of work, registering an ERA of 0.58. In the second game of the doubleheader at UW-Parkside, DeMotte hurled a seven-inning no-hitter, fanning eight batters and walking just one in a 2-0 victory. Her next trip to the mound came the next day at Lewis, where she posted a perfect game over five innings for a 9-0 win. Other pitching highlights included a two-hit, 10-strikeout blanking of Urbana last Wednesday and a one-hit effort in 4.0 innings of work in the first contest against UWP. At the plate last week, DeMotte went 5-for-14 (.357) with five RBIs and three runs scored, despite being walked eight times and once intentionally.
