Summe led Bellarmine’s final push in the regular season to clinch a spot in the GLVC by going 4-2 on the road against three of the top teams in the conference – Indianapolis, Saint Joseph’s and Northern Kentucky. Summe hit .545 on the week with a pair of home runs, totaling five runs and five RBIs.  She started the week with a 3-for-3 performance against NKU and followed it with a 2-for-4 effort with a double and a home run and three runs scored in a 9-1 victory over the Norse. Summe then went a combined 3-for-8 in a pair of wins at Saint Joseph’s, and ended the week with a 2-for-4 performance in an upset of No. 2 UIndy on Sunday. In the 3-1 victory over the Greyhounds, Summe recorded a home run off a pitch that was meant to be a ball in order to give the Knights’ standout a base on balls. The home run proved to be the game winner. On the week, Summe went 12-for-22 at the plate, slugged at a clip of .863, and was perfect in the field.
