Kerrigan enjoyed a dominating opening weekend to her senior season, leading UIndy to a 3-1 record at the Hemingway's Island Grill Invitational (Pensacola, Fla.) with 91 kills, 56 digs, 2 service aces and 6 total blocks over four matches, leading to a selection as the tournament Most Valuable Player. This is the first collegiate tournament MVP award for the All-American. Kerrigan played her best match with 25 kills in the comeback victory over No. 2 Tampa as UIndy lost the first two sets before prevailing. She amassed 21 kills or more in all four matches and was her most efficient in the final as she hit .512 with 23 kills and only one error.
