Quincy University’s Jaclyn Mastroianni has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference women’s soccer Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday.  The junior forward from St. Louis, Mo., finished the week with one goal and four assists to play a part in five out of the Lady Hawks' six goals scored over the weekend.

In a 3-1 home win over Southern Indiana on Friday, Mastroianni assisted on all three goals, and then returned to score off a corner kick for her second goal this season and assist on another goal in a 3-0 blanking of Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday.  She finished the weekend leading the team with six points and averaged 2.00 assists and 3.00 points per game this weekend.

Currently, Mastroianni leads the conference in assists (5) and is second in points (9).

This is Mastroianni’s first weekly honor of her career and the first for a Lady Hawk since Natalie Kuhlenberg was recognized by the league almost one year ago to the date on Sept. 12, 2011.
