Josh Firm completed a career-high 31 completions in 38 attempts for 308 yards, two touchdowns, and a pass-efficiency rating of 167.03 last Thursday night in the Miners’ 27-19 win at Arkansas Tech. The Lancaster, Calif., native threw a 15-yard TD pass to Nick Taylor just prior to the game being delayed for nearly two-and-a-half hours due to lightning. He later returned to hook up with Smook Thomas on a 26-yard score to extend S&T's lead to 10 with just under nine minutes to play. The scoring pass to Thomas proved to be the decisive touchdown in the game. Firm's 31 completions were the most by a Missouri S&T quarterback since Oct. 24, 2009.
