Hyman, in his first appearance of the season for the Miners, caught nine passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns in Missouri S&T’s 31-0 win at McKendree. The Los Angeles, Calif., native caught a 51-yard scoring pass on the first play of the second quarter to put S&T in front, then caught his second scoring pass just 4:12 later on a 29-yard reception in the back corner of the end zone on a fourth-and-22 play. His third scoring reception covered two yards on the Miners’ first possession of the second half to extend the lead to 24-0. The reception, yardage and touchdown totals were all career highs for Hyman, who is the second-straight Miner to earn the league’s top offensive honor as S&T quarterback Josh Firm earned the accolade last week.
