Fiechter racked up an impressive 263 all-purpose yards in Saturday’s 35-7 GLVC win at Quincy. The Bluffton, Ind., native added 145 yards and a touchdown while returning punts in the Greyhounds’ victory. Kiechter delivered the game’s first score with a 75-yard punt return early in the first quarter. His scamper marked the fourth-longest punt return in recorded school history and the longest since 1998. He averaged 48.3 yards on his three punt returns on the game and now averages 38.0 per return on the season, which ranks first nationally. In addition to his returns, the league’s leading rusher amassed 92 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, scoring from 15 and 19 yards out, respectively. Fiechter, who is the first Greyhound to earn weekly honors from the GLVC, averages 5.2 yards per carry through three weeks. He leads the conference in rushing (105.7 ypg), all-purpose yards (181.7 ypg) and touchdowns (6).
