University of Southern Indiana senior Michael Jordan has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Runner of the Week following a vote by the league coaches on Tuesday. Jordan finished seventh overall at the Indiana Intercollegiates last week with an 8,000-meter time of 25:07.
His efforts helped the seventh-ranked Screaming Eagles to a fifth-place finish overall and first-place showing in the Little State (Non-Division I) Championship hosted by Indiana State University.
The Indianapolis, Ind., native earns his third weekly award of his career, having previously been honored twice last season on Sept. 7 and Oct. 4.
