Stef Strauss-Thompkins is the only first-team All-American in program history.  She started all 75 games in her career and anchored a UW-Parkside defense that posted 46 shutouts. As a senior in 2004, she was named both the GLVC Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year after helping the Rangers post the lowest goals-against average in the nation.  That following spring, she was earned the league’s prestigious Richard F. Scharf Paragon Award as Female Athlete of the Year.  Overall, Strauss-Thompkins was twice named to the All-GLVC and NSCAA/adidas® NCAA Division II All-Great Lakes Region teams, and finished her career with a 68-9-7 career record and as a member of the 2003 and 2004 GLVC Championship teams.  After graduation she served as an assistant coach with the team and is currently a lecturer in the University’s Health, Exercise Science, and Sport Management program.
