Jordan Henry was the 2009 recipient of the Richard F. Scharf Paragon Award and a three-time GLVC Outdoor Track & Field pole vault champion (2006, 2008, 2009) as well as the 2008 Indoor champion. A four-time GLVC All-Academic selection (2006-09), Henry was also named the 2008 and 2009 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while the GLVC Male Athlete of the Year in 2009 for Indoor Track & Field. Also competing in the long jump and heptathlon, he placed fifth and sixth in the long jump at the GLVC Outdoor meet in 2008 and 2009, respectively, and was the 2009 Indoor heptathlon champion. At the national level, Henry was a NCAA Division II Indoor pole vault runner-up in 2008 and 2009, while placing seventh in 2006. At the NCAA DII Outdoor meet, he competed in the pole vault in 2006 while taking fourth in 2008 and tying for fifth in 2009. As a senior in 2009, Missouri S&T honored him with the Gale Bullman Award, given to the top senior student-athlete at the school. Also while a Miner, Henry was the first pole vaulter in school history to clear 17-feet in the event during the outdoor season, and his 17-0' ¾" mark still reigns atop S&T annals. ESPN The Magazine named him an Academic All-America Second Team member in 2008 and First Team member in 2009.
