Hall of Fame
During her three years at Lewis from 1996-99, Kasia Arient captured a total of six national titles, including the 1997 NCAA Cross Country Championship, while helping the Flyers tie for second overall as a team. She was a two-time All-American, three-time All-Midwest Region honoree and the 1996 and 1998 GLVC Champion in cross country. On the track side, Arient collected five individual national championships, including winning back-to-back crowns in the outdoor 5,000 and 10,000-meter runs in 1997 and 1998. She also added the 1997 indoor 5,000-meter run national championship to her impressive list of accomplishments. She was a two-time GLVC Indoor 5,000-meter run champion in 1997 and 1998, and also claimed the 1999 10,000-meter crown. In May 2016, Arient was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division Hall of Fame.
