Peter Hollenbeck captured the 2009 and 2010 GLVC Championship in the decathlon and was recognized as the GLVC Field Athlete of the Year, following the 2010 GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He was just the third individual in league history to win the decathlon in consecutive years. Hollenbeck was a three-time All-American for Missouri S&T in the pole vault, with his top finish coming at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships, as he placed fourth with a clearance of 17-0¾ in the event. He took sixth at the 2008 national meet and tied for eighth at Indoors in 2009. Hollenbeck also finished 11th at the 2010 outdoor meet. He earned All-GLVC honors in all four outdoor seasons from 2007-10 and his final three indoor track campaigns from 2008-10. He finished second in the pole vault in 2010, as well as third in 2008 and 2009 and fifth in 2007, while taking sixth in the heptathlon in 2010. Peter also had second-place performances in the outdoor pole vault in all four seasons in which he competed, and added a third-place finish in the javelin in 2010 and a seventh place showing in that event in 2009.
