Kerry (Lewin) Schrand-Rawe made an immediate impact when she got to the campus of Northern Kentucky. An All-GLVC selection as a freshman where she led the league in service aces, it was only the beginning of an illustrious career that saw two more All-GLVC honors and several other accolades and records come her way. (Lewin) Schrand-Rawe went on to not miss a game during her four-year career, compiling an overall record of 106-32 for a winning percentage of .768, including a 43-4 (.915) GLVC clip. Her legendary jump serve helped her lead the nation in service aces in 1995 as a junior with 152 for an average of 1.35 aces per set, records that remain third- and second-best in Division II all-time, respectively. Her GLVC Player of the Year award after her junior season propelled her to a strong senior campaign where she repeated as GLVC Player of the Year before NKU went on to win the Conference Championship, which was part of a 27-game winning streak to end the season. In addition to her GLVC accolades, (Lewin) Schrand-Rawe also collected back-to-back All-Region honors in 1994 and 1995. Inducted into the NKU Hall of Fame in 2007, she ranks sixth in career kills (1,582), second in digs (1,729), and first in aces (533), which still stand as the most all-time in Division II. Her 1.10 career service aces per set is also still second all-time in D-II.
