No. 14 Quincy Clenches Overtime Win Over UWP
KENOSHA, Wis. - The fourteenth-ranked Quincy Hawks recorded an impressive 77-74 win in overtime against Great Lakes Valley Conference opponent Wisconsin-Parkside on Monday night. Free throws and blocked shots were the key to success in the last few minutes of the game for the Hawks. Senior Billy Baptist had 19 points, 3 blocks, and hit two key free throws with just one minute left in overtime to put the Hawks in the lead by two. Junior Justin Brock chipped in with an additional 19 points, 19 rebounds, and 2 blocks to assist the Hawks with the win. Quincy improves to 16-0 overall, marking a new school record for consecutive wins, and to 7-0 in the Conference. UW-Parkside falls to 7-11 and to 2-7 in league play.
