Volleyball upends Norse on Tuesday night

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University volleyball team used a late-rallying attack to defeat rival Northern Kentucky University in four sets on Tuesday night at Knights Hall.

The Knights were led by a balanced attack, and took advantage of 27 Northern Kentucky errors.  Emily Beckman led all Bellarmine players with 14 kills, three solo blocks, three assisted blocks, and contributed six defensive digs.

Kaitlan Harris recorded 10 digs to lead the Knights, while Bailey BredenbeckCorp delivered 36 assists.

Freshman Krista Gibson turned in a complete performance with eight kills, two solo blocks, and an assisted block.  Paula Byrns matched her in the kills department.

Bellarmine continues their weeklong homestand with a match on Friday night against St. Joseph’s.  First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
