LEBANON, Ill.
– The University of Southern Indiana women’s soccer team stumbled on the road to McKendree University, 2-0, Wednesday night in Lebanon, Illinois. USI falls to 11-5-0 overall, while McKendree rises to 13-1-1.

The Screaming Eagles and the Bearcats battled to a scoreless tie through the first half and 23 minutes of the second before goals started to appear on the scoreboard. USI appeared to take a 1-0 lead at 68:14 on a goal by senior forward Nancy Newcomer, but the goal was called back.

McKendree responded by scoring the eventual game-winner 40 seconds later at 68:54 and sealed the win with a goal at 70:18.

The Eagles conclude 2010 regular season next weekend when they host Bellarmine University and Kentucky Wesleyan College. Kick off Friday night against Bellarmine is 7:30 p.m., while start time Sunday versus KWC is 2:30 p.m.
