ST. LOUIS-In its final home game of the season, the Maryville men's soccer team (1-14-1 overall) fell 2-0 to William Jewell (14-1-0) Thursday afternoon.

Junior Michael Flately (St. Louis) had 14 saves on the day, just four shy of the school record.

Brett Lewis put the Cardinals on the board with his goal at 27:50. This remained the score through halftime until Mo Ramahi connected on a pass from Cole Prather to make the score 2-0 in favor of WJC.

Kyle Heiman made three saves on the day to earn the shutout win.

William Jewell held the team advantages in shots (32-11) and corner kicks (9-3).

The Saints conclude their season on the road against Principia College at 3 p.m. in Elsah, Ill.
