ST. LOUIS-Freshman Alex Reis (Quincy, Ill.) netted her second goal of the season in the 67th minute of Maryville's (3-11-3 overall) 1-1 double overtime draw with William Jewell (11-1-2). This was a penalty kick.
The Cardinals took the 1-0 lead at 38:32 as Sarah Franklin connected on a pass from Taylore Depperman.
This remained the score through halftime until Reis was successful on her penalty kick attempt.
The game ended in a tie after two overtime sessions, even though WJC held the advantage in shots for the match (14-10), including 3-1 in the overtime sessions.
Sophomore Jena Casagrande (St. Louis) made seven saves on the day in the net.
