UIndy 3 - Indiana Wesleyan 0

INDIANAPOLIS-
The 20th-ranked Greyhound volleyball team made it three in a row with a sweep win against Indiana Wesleyan Wednesday night at the Ruth Lilly Center.  UIndy (12-6) downed the visiting Wildcats 25-17, 25-23, 25-17, as freshman Jaymee Reynolds tallied 38 assists, nine digs and three blocks.

In her first collegiate start at setter, Reynolds guided the Indianapolis offense to a .274 team hitting percentage on the night.

The offense started to click late in the first set, scoring six straight points on Courtney Anglemyer’s serve to pull away and take the early lead.

Indiana Welseyan (11-8) played its best ball in the second frame, just edging the Hounds in hitting percentage and forcing eight ties and a pair of lead changes.  The set was knotted at 22 before the Hounds scored three of the last four points to put the visitors in a 0-2 hole.

The Greyhounds punctuated the win by hitting a combined .412 in the third and final set, stamping out all Wildcat hopes of extending the match.

Kristina Hefferan and Kristina Kerrigan compiled a collective 23 kills on 63 swings, Anglemyer recorded team highs in hitting percentage (.444), total blocks (4) and service aces (3), and senior libero Lyndsay Callahan continued to keep her season digs-per-set average above 5.0 by recording 16 scoops in the match.

Owners of a four-game GLVC win streak, UIndy returns to conference play this weekend, beginning with a Friday night meeting with Kentucky Wesleyan.  Start time from the Ruth Lilly Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
