GLVC Women's Basketball Regular Season Winding to a Close
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Southern Indiana women's basketball team secured an 88-71 win at Bellarmine on Saturday and with the victory stayed in the hunt for the right to serve as one of four host sites for the GLVC Tournament.
The Eagles pulled to within one game of Northern Kentucky for the No. 2 seed in the East Division following Northern Kentucky's 80-69 loss to Indianapolis. Southern Indiana can lock up the No. 2 seed in the Division and the top No. 2 seed overall with a win over Quincy on Monday.
UW-Parkside did secure hosting rights with a 90-44 win over visiting Illinois-Springfield on Saturday afternoon. The win solidified the top seed in the North Divsion for the Rangers with a 13-5 league record.
Indianapolis (25-2, 16-2 GLVC) and Drury (23-6, 15-3 GLVC) had previously locked up the East and West Division's top seeds, respectively.
