KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Sophomore Katrina Choate claimed individual medalist honors in a playoff and paced the Drury women's golf team to victory as the Truman State Invitational concluded on Sunday here at the par-74 Kirksville Country Club.

Choate followed her 85 on Saturday with a final-round 80 for a 165 total and captured the individual title by defeating Krystal Limiasco of host Truman State (83-82 165) in a one-hole, sudden-death playoff, making birdie on the par-5 1st hole for the victory.

The Panthers of coach Lisa Tinkler shot a 347 Sunday in the windy conditions and finished at 687, 20 strokes ahead of runner-up Truman State (356-351 707) in the nine-team field. Truman State's B team was third at 747, with Rockhurst fourth at 757.

Drury had five golfers finish in the top eight in the event, including a tie for fourth from sophomore Aubree Vaughan (87-86 173), a tie for sixth from junior Susan Allen (82-92 174), and a tie for eighth from junior Marissa Hill (84-91 175) and senior Katie Wilburn (86-89 175).

DU junior Raine Lounis (87-92 179) finished 11th and senior Allison Rasnick (88-92 180) was 12th.

Drury returns to action April 10-11 by hosting the Drury Spring Shootout at the Rivercut Golf Course.
