GLVC Women's Tennis Tournament to Begin Friday
INDIANAPOLIS - The 2010 Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Tennis Tournament will kickoff on Friday, Apr. 23 in Springfield, Mo. and defending champion Drury will serve as host and the top seed from the GLVC West Division. Northern Kentucky earned the East Division's top seed.
Drury, which went 5-0 in GLVC divisional play in 2010, will host Bellarmine, the No. 4 seed from the East Division. The Knights (3-3) secured a spot with a 6-3 win over Lewis on Friday.
Northern Kentucky (6-0) also went unblemished in divisional play in 2010. The Norse will face Quincy (1-4) in Friday's quarterfinals.
The other quarterfinal matchups will feature Saint Joseph's (No. 2 East, 5-1) and Missouri-St. Louis (No. 3 West, 3-2) and Rockhurst (No. 2 West, 4-1) and Indianapolis (No. 3 East, 4-2).
The women's quarterfinals will be held at Cooper Tennis Complex and Gillenwaters Tennis Complex on Friday.
