ANKENY, Iowa-The Maryville University women's golf team took eighth place in the ten-team field at the Upper Iowa Invitational with its two-round score of 663.
Nebraska-Omaha won the team title with its score of 619 (303-316) and Erin Ommen of the Mavericks won the individual medalist title with her score of 152 (76-76).
Sophomore Kayla Eckelkamp (Washington, Mo.) was the top Saints finisher on the leaderboard as she tied for sixth with her score of 156 (77-79).
Freshman Kristen Montag (Nora Springs, Iowa) tied for 23rd as she carded a 163 (83-80) and sophomore Samantha Keller (Ballwin, Mo.) tied for 40th with her 171 (81-90.)
Freshman Mycah Hudson (Herrin, Ill.) and sophomore Nicole Gravino (Overland Park, Kan.) rounded out Maryville's competitors and took 43rd and 45th place, respectively.
The Saints return to the course Saturday at Drury's Invitational in Springfield, Mo.
