UIndy Finishes Second at Women's Golf East Super Regional
RESULTS
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The University of Indianapolis women's golf team finished second at the NCAA Division II East Super Regional on Tuesday held at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo. With the top-three finish, the Greyhounds earn a trip to the NCAA D-II National Championship to be held next week.
Senior Lyndsay McBride paced the Greyhounds as she finished in a tie for fifth place individually. McBride shot an 11-over-par 227 at the 54-hole event.
UIndy finished with a three-day score of 55-over-par (919) as a team. Grand Valley State took the team title with a 42-over-par 906. Drury finished just out of the top three, placing fourth (939) behind California by 13 strokes.
Southern Indiana placed fifth (951), Missouri-St. Louis finished sixth (963) and Northern Kentucky placed eighth (974).
UIndy will now competed at the NCAA D-II National Championship which will be decided at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. on May 12-15.
The Greyhounds will be joined by three individuals from GLVC schools, Drury's Katrina Choate, who claimed medalist honors at the Super Regional with a 6-over-par 222, Missouri-St. Louis' Shweta Galande (T10th, 230) and Northern Kentucky's Lyndsey Bevill (T7th, 229).
