Red Joins GLVC Staff

INDIANAPOLIS – Angela Red will serve as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Intern for the 2010-11 academic year. Red officially began her duties on July 26 and will be assisting in a number of different areas at the GLVC including media relations, compliance, championships and SAAC.
Red comes to the GLVC after recently completing her master’s degree in sport management from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in May. While completing her master’s, Red interned at Saint Louis University in the compliance department.
Red received her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, with an emphasis in exercise science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2009, and graduated magna cum laude. She served as a team captain while playing four years on the UMSL soccer team. Red was an Academic All-GLVC selection all four seasons, as well as on the dean’s list each semester. While at the university, Red interned in the athletic department helping with sports information and compliance.
Red has volunteered her time assisting with the NCAA Yes Clinic, serving as a speaker on the panel. She has also helped with the Division I Men and Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Red, a native of Danville, Ill., currently resides in Indianapolis.
