LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine blanked Maryville, 4-0, on Friday night in a GLVC men’s soccer match. The Knights (9-6, 8-5) received a pair of goals from Dan Schiavi, one in each half to secure the victory. Schiavi notched the game-winner in the sixth minute on a Jack Binns assist. Bellarmine benefited from an own goal less than two minutes later to make it 2-0. Schiavi then assisted on a Connor Brehm goal in the 63rd minute and added his second goal of the match in the 67th minute. Bellarmine will host Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday and Maryville (4-11-1, 3-10) will visit Northern Kentucky.
Quincy 7, Kentucky Wesleyan 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
OWENSBORO, Ky. – Quincy rolled to a 7-0 win at Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday afternoon. Grant Ellison notched a pair of goals and Ethan Venvertloh came off the bench to record a hat trick for the Hawks. Quincy (9-5-1, 8-4-1) took the early lead behind Ellison’s two goals and Venvertloh also added two of his goals in the first half to give the Hawks a 4-0 halftime edge. Quincy outshot Kentucky Wesleyan 25-5 and D.J. Lampert earned the win with one save in goal. The Hawks will head to Soutehrn Indiana on Sunday and Kentucky Wesleyan will host UIS.
Southern Indiana 11, Illinois Springfield 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Rush Dugger scored four goals and had two assists to lead Southern Indiana to an 11-0 victory on Friday night. Dugger scrored the game-winner in the fourth minute and then posted an assists on Jeffrey McClure’s and Austin Lage’s first half goals. Dugger added scores in the 26th, 49th and 72nd minutes. Ben Dempsey made four saves for the Eagles to earn the shutout in goal. Southern Indiana will next host Quincy on Sunday and Illinois Springfield (0-12-2, 0-11-2) will visit Kentucky Wesleyan.
No. 6 Northern Kentucky 1, Missouri-St. Louis 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – No. 6 Northern Kentucky used an early goal to defeat visiting Missouri-St. Louis on Friday night, 1-0, in GLVC action. Ben Rascona scored in the 17th minute on a Brodie Steigerwald assist to lift the Norse the victory. Ben Dorn made four saves in net to earn the shutout. NKU (13-2, 11-2) will welcome Maryville on Sunday and UMSL (7-5-3, 6-5-2) will host Bellarmine.
Wisconsin-Parkside 1, Drury 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Wisconsin-Parkside topped host Drury by a score of 1-0 on Friday night as Ryan Crane provided the difference for the Rangers in the 29th minute from 30-yards out. The unassisted game-winner helped the Rangers move to 7-7-1 overall and to 5-7-1 in the GLVC. UW-Parkside was represented in goal by Nick Huftalin who notched the shutout with four saves. UW-Parkside will head to Missouri S&T on Sunday and Drury (10-6, 8-5) is slated to host Lewis.
No. 12 Rockhurst 2, Indianapolis 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – No. 12 Rockhurst defeated visiting Indianapolis on Friday night, 2-0, to improve to 11-2-1 overall on the season and to 10-2-1 in the GLVC. Lucas De Rossi broke a scoreless tie by putting home an 18-yards sot in the 69th minute on an assist from Mark Magee. DeRossi assisted on Paolo Scoppola’s insurance goal in the 82nd minute as well.
William Jewell 1, Saint Joseph’s 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
LIBERTY, Mo. – Chad Newman scored in the 78th minute to give William Jewell a 1-0 win over Saint Joseph’s on Friday night. Newman was assisted on the play by Forrest McCurran and the Cardinals controlled the pace, outshooting Saint Joseph’s 16-9. Justin Schmidt recorded four saves in goal to earn the shutout. The Cardinals (10-6, 8-5) will host Indianapolis on Sunday and Saint Joseph’s will visit No. 12 Rockhurst.
Missouri S&T 2, Lewis 0 – BOX SCORE | RECAP
ROLLA, Mo. – Peter Haw scored his fourth goal of the season in just the third minute of play on Friday night to secure the game-winner for Missouri S&T in a 2-0 victory over Lewis. Haw converted a Jervis Atagana assist on the play. Ryan Muich added an insurance goal for the Miners in the 56th minute and goalkeeper Pat McNamee anchored a defense that did not allow a shot on goal. S&T (10-4-1, 8-4-1) will host UW-Parkside on Sunday and Lewis (7-7-1, 7-5-1) is headed to Drury.
