Northern Kentucky 1, Bellarmine 1 (2OT) - BOX SCORE | RECAP
LOUISVILLE- Bellarmine and Northern Kentucky fought to a 1-1 double-overtime tie to close out the regular season Wednesday night. Northern Kentucky, who clinched the top seed in the upcoming GLVC Women's Soccer Championships, got on the scoreboard first, scoring on Allison Ponzer's 10th goal of the season in the 51st minute. Ponzer put in a rebound off the post on a Kristi Hofmeyer shot. Alex Kowalski tied the match 1-1 just after the 66-minute mark, heading home a cross from Danielle Kamenec for her sixth score of the season. The two teams could not score the gamewinner, however, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw. The tie levels the Norse at 14-1-1, 12-1-1 in GLVC play, while Bellarmine is now 13-2-2 overall, 12-2-1 in conference matches.
Missouri-St. Louis 4, Maryville 0 - BOX SCORE | RECAP
ST. LOUIS- A pair of goals from Brittany Harbaugh led Missouri-St. Louis to a 4-0 win and a 2011 GLVC Women's Soccer Championship berth at Maryville on the final night of the regular season. Samantha Faron and Bridget Belli also scored for the Tritons in the win. Missouri-St. Louis improves to 9-8-0 with the win, 8-7-0 in conference play. Maryville falls to 4-12-1, 4-10-0 in GLVC matches.
Drury 2, Missouri S&T 2 (2OT) - BOX SCORE | RECAP
ROLLA, Mo.- Drury and Missouri S&T fought to a 2-2 double-overtime tie to end the GLVC regular season. The Lady Miners scored a pair of goals within three minutes of each other around the 51st minute to take a 2-0 lead. Drury answered back about 10 minutes later with Nicole Williams scoring her ninth goal of the season. The Panthers tied the match on a penalty kick in the 64th minute. Neither team would score again, ending the match in the 2-2 draw. The tie levels Drury at 8-8-2 overall, 5-8-2 in conference play, while the Lady Miners close out the season at 5-9-2, 5-9-1 in GLVC matches.
UIndy 2, Saint Joseph's 1 - BOX SCORE | RECAP
INDIANAPOLIS- The Greyhounds secured the No. 7 seed in the upcoming GLVC Women's Soccer Championships with a 2-1 win over visiting Saint Joseph's in GLVC action Wednesday. The Pumas struck first, scoring in the third minute of play on Sarah Johnson's second goal of the year. Johnson headed a ball off of a Melissa Barrett corner kick to put vising Saint Joseph's up 1-0. The Greyhounds answered back in the 23rd minute on Nicole Duncan's 10th goal of the season. Duncan took a pass from Lauren Soza into the box and sent it into the upper center of the frame to tie the match 1-1. Shelby Spinelli's third goal of the season broke the tie in the 61st minute. Spinelli took a pass from Duncan, and brought it up the near side and into the box to score past the Puma keeper's left side. With the win, UIndy improves to 11-7-0, 9-6-0 in GLVC play. The Pumas fall to 2-16-0, 1-14-0 in conference matches with the loss.
Southern Indiana 5, Kentucky Wesleyan 1 - BOX SCORE | RECAP
EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Seven points from Meagan Kempf led the host Screaming Eagles to a 5-1 win over Kentucky Wesleyan on the final night of the regular season in GLVC action. Kempf tallied a pair of goals, her first two of the season, and three assist to lead Southern Indiana to the win. Susan Ellsperman, Makenzie Brinker and Paige Nuelle all also scored for the Screaming Eagles, while Kentucky Wesleyan's goal was tallied by Annie Elder on an assist from Katie Henderson. The win improves Southern Indiana to 9-7-2 overall, 9-5-1 in GLVC play, while the Panthers close out the season at 1-13-1 overall and in conference matches.
UW-Parkside 3, Lewis 2 - BOX SCORE | RECAP
ROMEOVILLE, Ill.- It took an extra five minutes, but Wisconsin-Parkside came away with a 3-2 win at Lewis in GLVC action Wednesday. Visiting Wisconsin-Parkside got on the board first, with Stephaie Barsuli scoring her seventh goal of the season in the 26th minute on a misplay of a cross by the Lewis keeper. The Flyers tied the match just 41 seconds later with Shelley Hadlock tallying her second goal of the season off of a bouncing ball. The tie was broken less than five minutes later, with Shannon Becker scoring her eighth goal of the year from about 20 yards out into the right corner of the frame. Lewis re-tied the game in the 79th minute, with Hadlock scoring her second goal of the night off of a Fran Abate shot off the crossbar. Kristen Benson scored the gamewinner about five minutes into overtime, on an assist from Becker. Benson scored from 10 yards out into the top right corner. The Rangers improve to 11-2-2 overall, 11-2-2 in GLVC play, while Lewis falls to 6-9-1 overall, 6-8-1 in conference matches..
Quincy 1, Illinois-Springfield 0 - BOX SCORE | RECAP
SPRINGFIELD, Ill.- Quincy closed out the regular season with a 1-0 win at Illinois Springfield in GLVC play. Brittany Casey headed home a ball of of a Jaclyn Mastroianni corner kick in the seventh minute to give the Lady Hawks the 1-0 lead that would hold for the remaining 83 minutes of the match. Quincy improves to 14-4-0 overall, 11-4-0 in GLVC play, while the Prairie Stars fall to 4-10-2, 3-10-2 in conference matches
Rockhurst 3, William Jewell 0 - BOX SCORE | RECAP
KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The Lady Hawks closed out the regular season with a 3-0 win at home over William Jewell in GLVC play. Ally Rodriguez tallied the first Rockhurst goal in the eighth minute, scoring on a six-yard shot inside the left post on a ball from Taylor Stitt. Taylor Skala's 13th goal of the season upped the Lady Hawks' lead to 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Skala scored on a ball deflected off of a direct kick by Kasey Lierz. The Lady Hawks got a score from Caroline Brandt in the 82nd minute on a 23-yard shot to the top right corner to give Rockhurst the 3-0 win. Rockhurst improves to 12-3-2 overall, 10-3-2 with the win, while the Cardinals fall to 7-10-0 overall, 5-10-0 in GLVC.
