LEBANON, Ill. - Led by freshman Sara Borneman's 15 kills and 11 from classmate Janey Phillips, Drury picked up a 3-0 victory over McKendree in non-conference volleyball action here Monday night.
The Panthers won by scores of 25-21, 25-18 and 25-20 to improve to 10-7 on the season. McKendree, which will join Drury in the Great Lakes Valley Conference next season, fell to 5-16.
Freshman Alexis Dutt had 36 assists and joined Phillips in leading the Panthers with 12 digs. Freshman Brooke Foster added 11 digs and Borneman had 10 for DU.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, playing host to Kentucky Wesleyan in a 6 p.m. GLVC match at the O'Reilly Family Event Center before entertaining Southern Indiana in league play there on Sunday afternoon (1 p.m.).
