ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – In a non-conference match-up on Monday night, McKendree defeated Lewis , 64-57. McKendree (1-1) was led by Caty Ponce who scored a game-high 23 points and Lewis received 13 points from Labrenthia Murdock and a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds from Lauren Mead. The Flyers were held to a 28.8 percent shooting effort on the night and converted just 3-of-18 three-point attempts on the night. Lewis (0-2) will look to collect its first win of the season at Upper Iowa on Friday.
Drury 66, Southwest Baptist – BOX SCORE | RECAP
BOLIVAR, Mo. – Sophomore Bethanie Funderburk tallied 23 points to lead Drury to a 66-52 win at Southwest Baptist on Monday night. Funderburk was 8-of-19 from the field and added five rebounds and five steals. She scored 19 of her 23 points in the second half to lead Drury to victory. Jane Sara Plemmons came off the bench to add nine points for the 25th-ranked Panthers and Kylie Williamson chipped in eight points. Drury (1-1) will next host Washburn on Tuesday.
