#1 Bellarmine 70, Grand Valley State 67 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Top-ranked Bellarmine held off a second-half rally from host Grand Valley State to pull out a 70-67 win in men’s basketball action on Saturday. The Knights (3-0) collected their third straight regional win to open the season behind 18 points from Jeremy Kendle. Backcourt mates Chris Dow and Braydon Hobbs each added 15 points and Richie Phares contributed 11 points and five rebounds. The Knights will next face IU-Southeast on Friday.

Quincy 65, Illinois-Chicago 61 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

CHICAGO – The Quincy men’s basketball team knocked off D-I UIC on Saturday night, 65-61. Quincy (2-0) was led by Courtney Belger who finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Ricardo Carbajal added 11 points for the Hawks and Austin Weber added 11 points and four rebounds. Quincy shot 46.8 percent for the game and converted 19-of-22 free throw attempts. The Hawks will travel to Truman State on Tuesday.

Maryville 67, Truman State 64 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ST. LOUIS  – Maryville posted a 67-64 win over visiting Truman State in a non-conference men’s basketball contest on Saturday. The Saints (2-0) remained unbeaten on the season behind 16 points from Armon Provo who came off the bench to finish 6-for-7 from the field. Gerald Shaw chipped in 14 points and Asa Toney added 13 points for Maryville who will next host Oakland City on Tuesday.

Missouri-St. Louis 74, Lindenwood-Belleville 48 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ST. LOUIS – Missouri-St. Louis sprinted to an early lead and cruised to a 74-48 win over visiting Lindenwood-Belleville on Saturday afternoon. UMSL (1-2) was led by Joshua McCoy who finished with 21 points and six rebounds. McCoy was one of three Tritons in double figures on the day as Isiah Nunn added 12 points off the bench and Charlie Woods posted 11 points and eight rebounds. The Tritons will meet Bloomfield in their next game on Friday.

Indianapolis 96, Purdue-North Central 52 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

INDIANAPOLIS – Miles Mitchell hit eight three-pointers on Satruday afternoon and finished with a game-high 26 points to guide Indianapolis to a 96-52 win over visiting Purdue-North Central. The Greyhounds (3-0) shot 54 percent from the field and point guard Adrian Moss added a double-double with 22 points, 11 assists and five steals. Mikel Brigham and Jarrett Hamilton combined for 17 points off the bench for UIndy. The Greyhounds will host Lake Superior State on Friday.

Lewis 62, Ferris State 44 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis collected a key in-region victory over visiting Ferris State on Saturday, 62-44. Chris McClellan scored a game-high 17 points and Ryan Jackson chipped in 14 points for the Flyers who moved to 2-0 on the season. Lewis limited Ferris State to a 14-for-52 (.269) effort from the field, including just a 5-for-23 performance in the first half as the Flyers built a 26-15 halftime lead. Lewis will next host Trinity International on Tuesday.

Drury 87, Texas A&M-Commerce 74 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

SPRINGIELD, Mo. – The Drury men’s basketball team moved to 2-1 on the season with an 87-74 win over Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday night. The Panthers were led by Alex Hall who scored a game-high 23 points. Dennon Mitchell and Cameron Adams recorded 15 and 13 points, respectively, off the bench as the Panthers’ reserves helped Drury rally from a seven-point halftime deficit. Drury will next host Salem International on Friday.

Newman 83, Missouri S&T 53 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T dropped an 83-53 decision to visiting Newman on Saturday in men’s basketball action. The Miners (0-4) were led by Bryce Foster who had a team-high 13 points in the loss. Eli Steinbeck added 10 points off the bench and Tommy Pelczynski chipped in 10 points. S&T will host William Woods on Tuesday.

#15 Kentucky Wesleyan 125, Asbury 67 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Anthony Young exploded for 44 points to lead Kentucky Wesleyan to a comfortable 125-67 win over visiting Asbury on Saturday night. Young, who finished with a double-double by collecting 14 rebounds, was 12-for-18 from the field and converted all 16 free throws. Cardell McFarland added 23 points for the Panthers on 10-for-12 shooting and Luke Shelley came off the bench to chip in 13 points. KWC (1-0) shot 60.6 from the field and will next host Hiwassee on Tuesday.

Illinois Springfield 82, Lincoln 74– BOX SCORE | RECAP

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Michael Fakuade notched a double-double with 19 points and 19 rebounds to lead Illinois Springfield to an 82-74 win over visiting Lincoln on Saturday in a non-conference men’s basketball game. Fakuade shot 7-for-13 from the field and also added four assists and three steals. Teammate Lester Hart added 17 points and West Dawson produced a double-double of his own with 11 points and 10 rebounds. UIS (1-2) will head to Hillsdale on Wednesday.

Northwest Missouri St. 49, William Jewell 37 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

MARYVILLE, Mo. – William Jewell fell to Northwest Missouri State in a low-scoring men’s basketball contest on Saturday, 49-37. The Cardinals (1-2) finished the game 16-of-55 (.291) from the field and were outrebounded 39-34. William Jewell was led by Nick Larson who posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Cardinals will host Baptist Bible on Tuesday.

UW-Parkside 71, Northwood 70 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

KENOSHA, Wis. – Jeremy Saffold hit a pair of free throws with 22 seconds to play to lift Wisconsin-Parkside to a 71-70 win over visiting Northwood on Saturday. Saffold finished with 18 points and six rebounds to help the Rangers to 2-0 on the year. Leneal Harris posted 19 points and six rebounds for UW-Parkside and Jordan Mach added 17 points in the win. The Rangers will host Michigan Tech on Tuesday.

Missouri Western 68, Rockhurst 58 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Rockhurst lost a road game at Missouri Western on Saturday night. The Hawks (0-1) were led by James Robinson who came off the bench to notch 17 points and six rebounds. Brandon McCann added 12 points for the Hawks who will next travel to Central Missouri on Tuesday.

Northern Kentucky 83, Glenville State 60 – BOX SCORE | RECAP

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – DeAndre Nealy notched 19 points to guide Northern Kentucky to an 83-60 win over visiting Glenville State on Saturday. Nealy was 8-for-10 from the field and finished with six rebounds. Tony Rack had 16 points and Chad Jackson chipped in 14 points. NKU (3-0) will travel to Urbana on Monday.
